 | Volume 25 Number 5 (October 2012) of the Journal of Digital Imaging has been published. SIIM members can access JDI online here. In this issue, a Commentary by Tony Pan, Bradley J. Erickson, and Daniel S. Marcus describes data management practices for imaging-based studies in part two of three whitepapers on the need to create an imaging infrastructure for research. Brad Levin's Letter to the Editor refers to the article, Application of Innovation Economics to Medical Imaging and Information System Technologies by Bruce Reiner and Matthew McKinley published in the June issue of JDI. Lack of innovation has led to the commoditization of information and medical imaging technologies that support radiology. Mr. Levin offers suggestions for how SIIM and the SIIM Annual Meeting can help get innovative products more quickly into the mainstream. Read and post comments on the JDI section of the SIIMshare Blog.
