Primers
The SIIM/SCAR Primer Series for the digital medical enterprise was established as a companion program to the popular SIIM University presentations, featured at the SIIM Annual Meeting and by an extension program at other industry meetings. The primers cover various aspects of the digital medical enterprise, including electronic reporting, archiving issues, quality assurance, security, and decision support.

SIIM's sixth primer brings a view on how to maximize the accuracy and efficiency of diagnostic interpretation (both human and computer) in a logical and methodical fashion. The fifth primer is an upgrade to the first primer on computer security issues.
